Content

This unit continues and deepens the theory and practice introduced in PS8011Z Foundations of Professional Supervision, as it informs values and practice. Supervisory practice is further explored through theoretical and practical sessions including a focus on legal, moral and ethical issues that may emerge in supervision. Safeguarding and other professional standards, legal and regulatory frameworks, and supervision agreements are specifically addressed and integrated. Psychodynamics and self-care are key elements of the unit. Regular personal reflective practice is recommended to support role-based engagement. Supervision of individuals is a focus of the experiential learning. Practicum application will be streamed.
