Understanding human behaviour at individual, group and organisational levels is essential for private, public, and religious organisational success. The constant change, government regulation and community expectations create a complex dynamic in which organisations and team operate. The resultant impact may have profound influences on the individual, team and organisational behaviours of such organisations.
This unit will introduce students to organisational behaviour theories and practices to gain an appreciation, knowledge and skills to deal with the complexities of their organisations. Organisational behaviour draws upon a diverse range of disciplines. These include psychology, sociology, theology, anthropology and economics. Organisational behaviour leverages these disciplines to take an integrated approach to management with an applied focus, whilst drawing upon scientific foundations and consideration of the modern contemporary workplace.
Module A – What is Organisational Behaviour. Module B – Individual Motivation, Empowerment and Learning. Module C – Group Dynamics and Teamwork.
