Leadership is about change and navigating through change either personally or assisting others to change. There are many frameworks for leaders to build their transformation and grow in their praxis. This unit deals with personal awareness in the context of engaging with others in their leadership role by working through transforming experience frameworks.
Students will become familiar with various Leadership theoretical frameworks, models, key concepts, and tools to analyse their personal histories, capabilities and skills as well as to reflect on their personal beliefs and value systems. Students will learn to discern the appropriate models and concepts that need to be applied to their circumstances to achieve a better transformation of their leadership. They will learn how to balance different priorities and multiple perspectives, set vision and work within their purpose and role to achieve continuous transformation of their leadership praxis.

This is a core unit in the Graduate Certificate in (Transformational) Leadership, Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Master of Leadership
All learning material including video lectures and practitioner interviews are accessible on the Learning Management System asynchronously. The learning material are divided up in six modules with specific topics in each module. Students will need to attend a weekly webinar on a weeknight to engage with the tutor and discuss the learning material and assessments. The students will also need to attend two intensive days on the second and fourth Saturdays of the Teaching Period that will be run as workshops to discuss the topics and engage with supplementary learning material and practical exercises and scenarios relevant to the topics of the unit.
