This unit offers a critical scholarly study of the text of the Gospel of Luke. Special emphasis is put on the theology, and frequent liturgical use of the Gospel of Luke in the Coptic Orthodox Church. This unit uses narrative –critical methods to study the text of the Gospel particularly in its structural and symbolic elements in order to elucidate the particular theology of this Gospel.
