Attention is given to the broader social, cultural, political and religious contexts of the gospel. Practical components of the subject develop skills needed to teach the gospel in Christian contexts, for example, through preaching, Bible studies, or generation-specific programs.

Pedagogy

This unit seeks to engage students in differing ways of reading the biblical text, and in content delivered through lectures and readings. Guest lectures will form an important part of this unit as students engage with practitioners as it pertains to the teaching of biblical texts in a church context.
