This unit builds upon the foundational vocabulary and grammar studied in AL9201C. The grammar will be supplemented with readings of increasing complexity directly from the New Testament in particular from Mark and John and other sources such as the Septuagint.
Identify and explain the key grammatical elements of New Testament Greek
Give an English equivalent of passages from the New Testament and other early Greek literature with the aid of a lexicon noting syntax and grammar
Apply their knowledge of Koine Greek to the exegesis of passages in the New Testament
Apply their knowledge and skill in Koine Greek to giving an English equivalent of specific inscriptional and/or papyri segments in a self-directed manner
Demonstrate an adequate capacity to research a specific topic in Greek language study.
