| Textbook(s): | There is no textbook for the unit. However, you would do well to select one or two commentaries on John's Gospel and read them through gradually during the semester as we work through the biblical text. Mannix Library holds multiple printed copies of some of the commentaries; the Library Hub has several commentaries as e-books. At each class, students should have access to a recent edition of the Bible; the recommended English translation is the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV). The items in the bibliography below are available through Mannix Library (paper copies) and/or the Library Hub (electronic copies).
